When I got started marketing online, back in 2012 I didn’t know what I was learning. I was all over the place, jumping from here to there, doing this and that, and not making anything stick. I did this for a couple of years and then I figured out my place in this whole internet marketing arena. I did learn quite a bit however, and it’s been a fun adventure. More about that in future podcasts.
So, lets get back to the question of the day:
roughly half of an email list will be active. This is opening or clicking on links. That’s substantially up from the 2-6% on Facebook a year later then that article was published, and even more then the 16% in 2012. This is also even better then the 1-3% impressions on twitter.
So, in short, you should build an email list over a Facebook page. That being said you shouldn’t neglect Facebook either. Want to chat more about strategy for your business? Get in contact with me.
