Are you embarrassed with your WordPress skills? Here’s what to do

This podcast is made possible by people like you. Thank you for your feedback. If you want to leave a voicemail you can give us a call at 5412154433 . Today we’re going to chat with you about you being embarrassed by your WordPress skills and what you need to do. You’re going to hear some stuff in today’s episode that you already know because I’ve already told it to you but sometimes, I don’t know about you but I need to hear things more than once in order to make it hit home. First of all, learn what you need to know. What is it that you want to do with your WordPress site. What skills do you want to accomplish? You can use sites such as linda and youtube to learn those skills. You can also pay for a course on WordPress to help you do things such as create a membership or ecommerce based site. Figure out what your skill set is and delicate what you can’t do. What skills do you want to learn and improve that you’ve already got? WordPress is so powerful that you don’t need to know everything. I got connected with a guy named Yuseth and learned a lot about WordPress and other platforms simply because I reached out and asked questions. When you have apps such as Youtube Hangouts or Periscope Live or Blab, you can get connected with other individuals who might know the skills on WordPress you don’t know. Here’s an example of someone on Blab who is amazing with WordPress and let me share my story by letting me into her Blab. Check out Blog Aid on blab. You don’t have to do everything with WordPress. You can learn all the content you want to learn and implement everything but if you’re not having fun and it’s not helping you then outsource it. Delicate the tasks that you need done to someone else that already has an expertise in that. If you need a membership site, find someone on Fiverr or Elance/Upwork and have them do that membership site so you don’t have to worry about it. Use Upwork, Guru, or similar sites to find someone who can contribute in ways such as making a theme that can work across all of your sites. Don’t let not knowing technology hold you down. In today’s day and age you don’t have to know everything. I hope you’ve enjoyed this WordPress audio. Next week we’re going to talk about five ways you can teach WordPress faster. The show will be available next Wednesday.
